The original sketch for this banner was created at the request of an independent film maker in the Boston Area. He was going to be shooting the live Sunday morning service for an area Baptist Church and thought it would be cool to open the show with a Jesus sideshow banner and liked the sounds of "Resurrection Boy" as the headliner. He had wanted Jesus to look like a burley Irish man though I'm not sure why. Well, I went ahead and did a sketch for him and the church did not give it a final approval so that part of the project got shelved. But I was so fond of the sketch I knew it had to be painted. You might say I was guided by an invisible hand on this one.
